Common Water Heater Issues
With 2021 getting off to such a crazy start, the last thing you are going to want is trouble with your water heater. However, depending on how old your water heater is, there is always a possibility your water heater might give you issues this year. If you are worried about your water heater, here are some common problems to be on the lookout for.
Common Problems with Water Heaters
The most common problems with water heaters is that the water temperature is either too cold or too hot. If your water temperature is too cold, you need to check your power sources. If your water temperature is too hot, you’ll need to check the thermostat on your water heater. When you have done all you can, and your water temperature still isn’t right, you need to call a plumber.
Another common problem is leaking around your water heater. You may notice a puddle of water around the water heater. You can check the temperature and pressure relief valve. You can also check the pressure gauge on your water heater to make sure that your pressure is not too high. You may have a plumbing connection that is too loose. You can check your plumbing connections around your water heater to make sure that none of those connections are leaking.
You also need to do a thorough check of your water heater. You need to check all over the water heater to make sure there isn’t a leak. Usually, a leak in your water heater is going to be at or near the bottom. If you see a leak, you are most likely going to have to replace your water heater, but a plumber will be able to tell you for sure.
